There’s a saying that goes something like this; Look before you leap. While generally this is good advice, it’s not for everyone. Those who tend to leap without being called to jump often times can fall and hurt themselves. However, the Lord has impressed upon my heart that 2019 is a time for leaping in many ways. Leap for joy, leap from glory to glory and leap into your destiny that God has specifically designed for you.
I had a dream the other night that I was walking in a wilderness area when all of a sudden I was up high in the sky. I was so high that I could not even see the ground below there were just clouds. There were many people behind me that I was leading, and I saw that we were standing on something but in order to move forward I had to leap onto the next cloud. There were people behind me complaining about how dangerous it was to “just jump”. They began to say how illogical it was because clouds are not meant to be walked on, but I didn’t listen to them. I knew with all of my heart I had to jump and in my dream I remember thinking; “If I fall I fall, at least I’ll be with Jesus” and I jumped.
Guess what? I landed on the next cloud and all of a sudden all of the clouds moved and formed together to make a bridge. Across this long cloud bridge were threads of gold lining on the clouds. I began to walk fast across the bridge because at the end I saw this incredible mountain peak with lush green land, and I knew I had to go there. Others jumped after me, but most stayed back on the one area still complaining and judging and discussing how it made little sense. The dream ended with me yelling behind me to those that jumped “Let’s go”. I woke up.
While I know this is a personal Word for me in 2019, the Lord revealed it was also a Word for the body of Christ. There are things the Lord is calling you to do, scary things, risky things, and you keep hearing others who should be cheering you on explain why it doesn’t make sense and why you shouldn’t leap. The bridge in my dream wasn’t there until I jumped off of the platform I was already on. There are many of you that have been given prophetic dreams and words over your life as to what the Lord dreams for you. I want to encourage you to weigh the words, but also take action. People will not always understand the way God is moving in your life, but they don’t have to understand or approve in order for you to move forward. Obedience to what God is saying is key here. It may look like you are going to fall but you won’t. The God who moves mountains and parts the sea for His children will enable you to fly. Tell fear to take a hike and move forward into what God has for you in this new season.
