“And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.” Ezekiel 34:26
The season of fruitfulness! In other words the season of your promise! This is a time in your life where everything starts paying off, all your faith, all your obedience, all your prayers and all the time spent with God and in His Word. Just like Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Just like it paid off in Joseph’s life his promise still stands today for you. Joseph took God at his word and stood on every promise that God spoke to him. It is a time and season where you see God bring the increase; it’s a time of the unexplainable I can feel the excitement in my bones as I’m writing this. Joseph was thrown into a pit and left there to die then sold into slavery by his brothers. After that, he was then put in Potiphar’s palace and preyed on by Potiphar’s wife who lied accusing him of rape. Joseph was then put in prison, but throughout all that, it is recorded in the book of Genesis that the favor of God was still on Joseph’s life. Wow, talk about Divine favor. Joseph could’ve simply folded under all the circumstances, but instead, Joseph stood on every promise God spoke to him. He took those dreams which were his seed to his miracle. At the age of 17, he planted them by streams of Living Water that’s how Joseph prospered because it was where he planted his dreams. It was his lifeline to allow constant growth in producing unexplainable fruit. Just like Psalms 1:3 speaks about it says, “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
What about you? Are you prospering even in your trials? You see Joseph was prosperous even when he didn’t know it and little did he know that all that faithfulness, trusting and obedience was going to lead him. It says after a couple of years in prison that King Pharaoh sent for him and required of him to interpret the dreams he had. From that point on Joseph was given charge over all the land. You see, to come into this season it’s what we did the season prior. We all have a due season. That word due means a time or a date, but we don’t know the time or the date, so our instructions are not to get weary or not to faint. Our season is coming; how silly would have been after six marches around the walls of Jericho if the children of Israel would have stopped because they were weary and their hearts grew faint just before the breakthrough and the miracle? Or how silly would have been if Joseph would have thrown the towel in after he told the baker to tell Pharaoh about him and still had to wait two years. You see even youths grow faint, and young men shall fall, but those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It’s always better when God gives the increase because you can’t receive the glory. Just like Pharaoh he knew what Joseph was interpreting was wisdom from God, the people of Jericho were afraid of the children of Israel because they knew that God was fighting with them. So today with great anticipation the wait is over for everything that You have spoken Lord let it be done!
Prayer Starter: Father allow my roots to grow deep so deep in You that my life line and source of life will constantly draw off You. Father, I thank You for all your promises and giving me the increase in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
