Regardless of which scenario you may identify with, they all have one thing in common. They reacted according to what was necessary to see God’s glory in their life: To have Holy of Holies experiences. Be encouraged! If the Lord has called you, spoken something over you, it will happen.
So, in a nutshell, first Isaiah acknowledges that he is unclean. He mentions this specifically in Isa 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away”. The Lord has mercy on him and purges his sin. God gives us the opportunity to be cleansed of our sin. He allows us an opportunity to repent and be baptized in His name for the forgiveness and cleansing of sin. He transforms us into His likeness through the power of His Holy Spirit. Once we sacrifice (die to) ourselves, we can truly be available to be sent by the Lord to His people with His word and power. How many times have you said to the Lord “Send me”? Give the Lord the free reign to do what He needs to do in you and through you. Then? You can see Him truly glorified!
There is a call going out to the followers, the worshipers of Jesus Christ! It is time to arise! I encourage you to grab your Bible and read the referenced scriptures as you go along so that God’s powerful words will minister unto you. I’m reminded of the prodigal son, who had everything and was completely provided for by his father (Luke 15:11-17). In his selfishness, he asked his father for everything he thought he was entitled to and took off on his own.
Isa 41:31 says we shall renew our strength. That means our strength will sometimes actually be depleted. We might even fall a couple of times. The important thing is to repent, get back up, and wait upon Him! Do you feel like you’ve been waiting too long for the promises that have been spoken over you? Hold on!
Sitting in the hospital room, looking into my mother-in-law’s eyes, I was horrified as one side her face started to droop right in front of me! I called on Jesus immediately, then was prompted by His Spirit to call the nurses into the room. Once I was assured that Mom was in good hands for what appeared to be a crises situation, I grabbed my phone and looked for a quiet place to call my Pastor.
